Biometric Fingerprint Door LocksYou can probably buy these at Home Depot soon, or even today. Fingerprint door locks for homes and businesses are the next big thing in improving security. Biometric locks feature a fingerprint sensor that identifies and verifies the fingerprint of any persons stored in the unit, for easy access. Some fingerprint door locks also feature a small PIN keypad and a hidden keyed lock in case a mechanical key "override" is needed. Biometric door locks operate off of replaceable batteries, which are needed to retain fingerprint information. Depending on the model, some biometric locks can store fingerprint data for over 100 different people. Biometric door locks require no external wiring, and can be easily installed in the same mounting hole as a standard door lockset. |
